Andrzej Borowski (1945), professor emeritus of Jagiellonian University, Vice President of the Polish Academy of Learning (PAU); until 2017 head of the Department of Old Polish Literature at the Jagiellonian University Faculty of Polish Studies. His scholarly interests include: national and European identity and awareness, Sarmatism, Polish-Dutch cultural relations, old literature and contemporary culture, humanism and the Humanities.
