(6 November 1951 – 25 January 2020) Head of the Collegium Civitas Academy of Foreign Service and Diplomacy, a former President of the Culture Foundation. Former Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Greece and Cyprus (1991–1996), former Director of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. In 1990 appointed Director of the Department of Cultural and Science Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A former advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, deputy director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department of Promotion and Information. He has published two poetry volumes: Wypędzeni (Warszawa 1988) and Roraty (Podkowa Leśna 1999).
