Professor of Legal Sciences (Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences), honorary doctor of the University of Gdańsk, University of Warsaw, Maria Grzegorzewska Academy of Pedagogy in Warsaw; full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Learning; Poland’s first Ombudsman (1987–1992), justice of the Chief Administrative Court (1999–2002) and of the Constitutional Court (2002–2011). She has published on civil law, constitutional law, and the human rights as well as essays and common interest legal articles. An expert on classical music (books, articles, radio and television programs).
